What States Require A Notary Seal on A Motor Vehicle Title? When buying a Motor Vehicle from out of state the biggest question we get asked is .. Does this title need notarized? Which is a VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION. ... Here is a a list of the states that Do NOT need notarized If the title is not from one of these states the Seller ABSOLUTELY must have their signature notarized, Don't let them tell you they don't. You will not be able to have the vehicle titled without it. If the Vehicle you are purchasing has a Title from A state NOT listed here THE SELLERS SIGNATURE MUST BE NOTARIZED
