The ev...ent features keynote speaker, Scott Schaffer, chief anchor at WNEP’s Newswatch 16, who was raised by his grandparents as well as an address by PA Secretary of Aging Robert Torress. Participants can attend two additional panels of 11 speakers as well as a presentation about new state legislation from State Rep Eddie Day Pashinski. Over 40 vendor tables for resources. David Hage, a professor and social worker, specializing in gerontology, from Misericordia University spoke to our clients about the psychological adjustment to ...vision loss at last night's Eye Learn program. He explained the causes and symptoms of depression and shared several resources to cope, seek help, and find resilience, reminding them that their vision is a part of them but does not define who they are as a person.
