PA Waiting List Campaign

We Need Your Help! Over 20 years ago the Pennsylvania Waiting List Campaign was created by Vision for Equality, Inc., in response to an outcry of people languishing on waiting lists for community services and supports. In 1999, Office of Developmental Programs used the figure of 24,000 people waiting. The PA Waiting List Campaign made the High School Initiative an issue with legislators and the Governor that is now funded. We are pressing for older individuals and familie...s to become a budget priority. We believe that maintaining an Emergency Waiting List is unconscionable. We have much work to do and need your help. Though our consistent advocacy we have helped over 13,214 people receive funding. We are all family members and understand the frustration of waiting. We travel from various points in the state to visit Legislators, government officials, attended House of Representative hearings and attend local, state and national meetings - so that the Waiting List remains front and foremost. We are strong advocates and the voice for those who cannot speak. We are passionate about ending the wait. We do NOT have a continuous source of funding and struggle to find money for expenses.
