Dear Members of the PBG Community, First and foremost, we hope you and your loved ones are doing well. If there’s any way we can support you, please reach out. After lots of discussion and analysis of our options, we have decided that we will be operating entirely virtually this coming semester, Fall 2020. Our Kickoff, our workshops, our social events, our panels, our case competition, and even our consulting projects will be done virtually. ... We know that the University is planning to return, in limited degrees, to an in-person experience. We cannot emphasize enough the value of in-person interactions. Despite this, we have decided to be virtual for the following three reasons: 1. Being remote ensures the physical safety and psychological comfort of all those in our community; 2. Being entirely remote ensures that no one is disadvantaged for having to be remote for health, family, or other personal reasons; 3. Being remote worked excellently this past Spring semester, as well this Summer, with incredibly high levels of quality work product, client satisfaction, and team member satisfaction. We know this may come as a disappointment. We are working with our unbelievably creative and dedicated Executive Board to provide the PBG Community with an engaging, interactive, and meaningful virtual semester. We truly hope you will continue to participate in PBG projects and events, from wherever you might be in the Fall. Lastly, we appreciate all of the hard work and commitment by Team Members, Project Managers, and Project Directors in the Spring and Summer projects. We are actively exploring options to recognize the efforts of all those involved in these projects, in lieu of our regular in-person team celebrations. We will let you know once we have more information. As always, we welcome your feedback, and would love to hear your thoughts and ideas. Warmly, Ben, Dania, and Chao PBG Co-Presidents
