Please ignore the mud.. just for learning purposes. THIS is a true osselet, one day I hope more people are educated on them and how little they actually effect... a horses future. They can be ugly to look at but once set rarely do they ever bother a horse again. This horse has a HUGE osselet but with the xrays show a clean and health joint space. Its simply calcification built up over time. Can it at some point possibly break off...yeah sure. Can your horse bang its knee or ankle and cause a chip... the odds are pretty equal. Osselets are not chips, they are not sesamoid fractures... these are something TOTALLY different and have a specific way they form which is more of an oval shape. If you see a horse with a big ankle and it looks more like a softball, totally round.. it is likely not an osselet. If this post helps one person understand more about what these are and opens their mind it's done its job. This horse is happy, healthy, sound... and one heck of mover!

The HVS girls survived their first starter trial at BCHP in a monsoon! It was freezing but they were troopers. Thank you Angie for getting pics and videos....mine were a tad unsteady from shivering and made me nauseous. Lol. All the girls placed and had fun so we'll consider it a win!

Hey all! Tonight is our practice movie night to make sure the projector is working for the 6th. If you plan on attending the pig roast on the 7th we always do a kids movie night the night before. They are all welcome to spend the night! As far as tonight goes bring a chair, snacks, and your choice of beverage!

So proud of these three kiddos! Yesterday we headed to Waredaca in Maryland for USPC Dressage Rally. Jaymie and Argus both did solid tests for their first time EVER competing in dressage. Cant wait to see this team next year! Eleanor and Ziggy improved tremendously from last year! No spooking and the zig zagging was minimal. We now have our new homework for next year Farryn and Patch had a great day as well. He was well behaved and Farryn remembered both tests! Yay! Way to go HVS girls and the rest of the CPPC team!

Ryleys first time cross country was a success! Cash was jumping bigger than normal but they made it. Phew!

As much as I hate to do this I need to sell my personal horse. I desperately need another lesson horse that can jump so one of mine has to go. He has lots of buttons so if you are intimidated by a quick responding horse he definitely isnt for you. *** note he has two cold set osselets that do not bother him and a spot on his right eye that does not affect his vision. The HVS girls had a blast today at Coexist Stables horseless rally. Definitely a great rally for kids new to the ins and outs of pony club. Here are a few highlights......

As much as the HVS students are enjoying the winter break it's time to get back to business and get ready for show season! We are also taking on more students for 2019. We officially have three new D1 Central Penn Pony Club members! It was rainy and chilly but that didn't bother Ryley, Eleanor, or Farryn one bit! All the ponies behaved and all girls had a great experience. Now onto rally season!

Good luck to Ava and Eleanor today on their first youth rodeo adventure. I know you girls will rock it!!

So proud of these two girls today and all the hard work they put in over the last few weeks. Eleanor scrambled with blue mountain pony club and they got 2nd place! Farryn scrambled with chestnut hill and took 5th! They had fun AND made new friends. This is why we love pony club! Go CPPC!

Lady is currently for sale. 15 hand 7 year old ottb. She has a great brain with zero spook, buck ,or rear. She can be a little quick under saddle but is very respectful. She does have some racing ankles but they are cold and set and she is a mild cribber. Great horse for a petite adult or intermediate child. Would be best suited for trails or lower level eventing. We have started jumping her and she's very honest.
