Our 15kV Distribution Switchgear Lineup is officially on the 602A Philadelphia Navy Yard site, energized, and doing its job. This #PEECO MV electrical equipment comes with remote control operation capabilities from an outside station and uses a DMP3 communication protocol. It is also housed in a customized #powerdistribution enclosure.

#PEECO welcomes Temple University student Martin Mark to our team for Summer 2019. Martin is a senior studying Electrical Engineering and expressed his interest with us due to our specialization in #Powercontrolsystems. PEECO has done multiple internship programs in the past and has even hired one especially talented young man to be full time here: Tyler Collins. We are happy to help America's future working generation get hands-on experience in the power industry.

Just shipped out this Master Control Panel to a loyal client in DE. It will control the #PEECO LV #Switchgear we provided earlier this month that regulates the client's two onsite #generators. This MCP also comes equipped with generator controls and multiple load control options including Load Shed, Load Optimization, and Load Demand.

The SEPTA Bethayres Substation is 1 of 3 sites that PEECO is currently involved in manufacturing new Relay Control Panels which provide Protection and Control for the Trolley Breakers along the West Trenton Catenary Lines. #PEECO assisted in the design and engineering of the control panels. The Relay Control Panels will replace the existing control system with updated devices and equipment. PEECO built and wired the Control Panels, which were then tested and witnessed by SEPTA before being shipped out to site. Our technicians will be on site to assist contractors when interconnecting the trolley breakers to the Relay Control panels.

#ArmedForcesDay is upon us this weekend. #PEECO has provided a large number of USA armed forces locations with necessary switchgear and control systems. Power outages at any military location is serious, and we help keep them running. This particular gear was provided to the Missile Defense Agency in Poland. #PEECO recently worked with a company at an ungrounded site with 24/7 operation to get their facility a much needed extensive upgrade to their site distribution system. We provided and set up three 5kV NEMA 3R Skinned Switchgear Substations which were Main-Tie-Main. The overall project had 24 5kV MV breakers outfitted with SEL protection relays, digital meters, load control capabilities, and remote control using an Allen-Bradley PLC and WonderWare HMI Software. PEECO also o...utfitted a compact NEMA 3R equipment section complete with a 24VDC Battery System with Load Sharing Redundant Battery Chargers, HVAC, AC & DC Distribution Panels, and a Control Panel that will be used for Remote Control of all the Substation Breakers. The site had a strict shutdown date in which PEECO had to work closely with site Engineers to ensure the project was completed on time and ready for the switchover to the new system.
