Today the ERM alumni spotlight is on Matt Tsui! Matt is a Data Management Specialist for a geographic information science company, Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI). He assists in managing geospatial data using relational enterprise geodatabases such as ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise. ... As a student at Penn State, Matt gained a lot of experience working in Penn State College of Agricultural Sciences laboratories like Dr. Ephraim Govere's Soil Research Cluster Laboratory. Matt also attended conferences and events like the World Food Prize and the Pennsylvania Farm Show. His favorite classes were Dr. Robert Shannon's ERM 450 (Wetland Conservation) and Dr. Patrick Drohan's SOIL 403 (Soil Morphology Practicum)! Currently, Matt is pursuing a Master of Geographic Information Science through Penn State World Campus. ERM alumni are making a difference! Celebrating 50 years of Environmental Resource Management! Today the alumni spotlight is on Scott Ickes, (ERM 1982). Scott was born and raised in central Pennsylvania and has always had a love for the outdoors and camping. Scott has held a number of positions during his career including work in the mining industry, steel shipping container manufacturing, organic chemical manufacturing, corn wet milling, and hardboard manufacturing. He is currently working in the automotive industry for a Tier 1 supplier as a regional EH&S Manager.
