Office of Veterans Programs is seeking a reliable student veteran or military dependent with experience using VA education benefits to work as a part-time Penn State staff member in our office over the summer. UP Students: Seeking Student Sponsor starting Fall 2021! VA Work Study Student Sponsors are responsible for helping incoming student veterans acclimate to student life, connect with Penn State and community resources, provide opportunities for socialization, and refer to services when necessary. Student sponsors will provide this assistance to a caseload of approximately 15-25 incoming student veterans. Applicants must be a veteran of active duty military service, a GI Bill ...recipient attending at least time, and have been a student at Penn State University Park for at least once full academic year. Students who are pursuing degrees in Biobehavioral Health, Human Development & Family Studies, Psychology, Rehabilitation & Human Services, and Sociology are strongly encouraged to apply.
