Joyce Kim, a 2015 graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences, has been awarded a Gates Cambridge Scholarship to pursue a Ph.D. at the University of Cambridge in England. She is Penn’s 32nd Gates Scholar since the program started in 2001. An estimated 85 scholarships will be awarded worldwide, including 24 in the United States.
