Eric Stoopler and Thomas Sollecito of Penn Dental Medicine’s Department of Oral Medicine served as editors of the October 2020 issue of Dermatologic Clinics, highlighting the interdisciplinary nature of oral health and dermatology. PDM has launched a new master’s program, introducing a Master of Oral Health Sciences (MOHS). Temitope Omolehinwa is embarking on a five-year, $3.75 million study of the links between HIV, antiretrovial therapy, inflammation, and oral health. Her findings could lead to new insights into how to provide better care for people living with HIV.

The national mission of the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry (AADMD) is to improve the quality of healthcare for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders and intellectual disabilities (ND/ID). At Penn, our student chapter of AADMD focuses on aspects of treating patients with special needs that may not be covered didactically.
