Penn SID: Global Art Benefit

10 Reasons to attend our GAB this Friday: 1) You finally mustered the courage to ask out that girl/guy in recitation, and you need a classy (but affordable) function to take her/him to. 2) You want to support Penn students, the Philadelphia community, and the rest of the world all at once because #multitasking. 3) You need to prove to your parents that you do things other than go to frat parties in college.... 4) You want to procrastinate studying for finals whilst being productive and consider yourself ~worldly~ without ever leaving Philly. 5) Your photo is in the exhibit!! Good for you. 6) Your mom is coming because your photo is in the exhibit!! Good for you. 7) You want to be as hipster as possible and these are one-of-a-kind photographs. YOU'D HAVE THE ONLY PRINT. 8) You realize you're a senior and have never been to Old City. It's now or never. 9) You want to commemorate your valuable contribution to an amazing cause by accenting your room with beautiful art from talented photographers ~carefully selected~ by SID. 10) You love PennSID and feel fomo if you're not at every PennSID event. Submit your work before March 31st to be considered for auction at the Global Art Benefit! For ideas on what to submit, think along the lines of cultural distinction, portraiture, infrastructure and environment, and migrant stories. Send your photo submission(s) directly to [email protected]. For 3D artwork, send a photo and description of the piece. Please include a title, and feel free to describe your piece in one to two sentences. Your submission might even win ...you a prize! All proceeds benefit SRI: Swat Relief Initiative, an NGO working to improve the lives of women and children in the Swat region of Pakistan through healthcare, education, economic growth, and sustainable environment. We look forward to reviewing your submissions!
