ASME $500 Scholarship Oppurtunity Submissions due Monday March 16th here [https://forms.gle/Zwc2bAjEeb5SU7e77] As another way of giving back to the student body, ASME will be offering one $500 scholarship per semester to an undergraduate mechanical engineer beginning Spring 2020! If selected, ASME will transfer the scholarship directly to your Penn State Bursar account. There are no requirements for how the funds are spent, though they are intended to be used towards furtheri...ng your education - whether that means buying lab supplies, directing it towards tuition, or living expenses, is entirely up to you. Eligibility: -Applicants must be enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (ME) in the semester that they apply. -All in-major ME students may apply, regardless of semester standing -There is no GPA requirement -Must be a full-time student -National ASME membership is not required -Current and past ASME Executive Board members are excluded Selection will be based on the following: -Involvement with ASME -Academic performance and motivation -Communication skills via written essay Application Requirements To apply, please submit an application (in PDF form) to our dropbox, which should contain: 1.) A one page resume 2.) A double-spaced essay (no longer than two pages) that answers the question What does ASME mean to you, and what would you do to increase the organization’s value to students?
