2 of our Nittany had BIRTHDAYS in April and it’s time to give them a shoutout: Amanda is a senior, bio major and French minor, and she loves the camaraderie of the team! Its been a great chance for her to meet other horsey people at Penn State, and has also given her the opportunity to improve her riding and learn from a variety of horses! Annie is a freshman biology major and she loves showing as a team and getting to ride lots of new horses!... Happy birthday girls! Hope you enjoyed your special days
Chin up buttercup! Hope you are all safe and well during this crazy time and to those of you involved in the IDA, see you guys next academic year :) thank you for at least one great semester!
Think that was it? Think again... we can’t forget our February babies! we wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to... Morgane, our president this year, and the gal who dreams of working with people as an educator and therapeutic riding instructor. She loves our team and is especially proud of the growth it has experienced over the last four years in every way shape and form! She especially loves goofing off with Spiro (or bubba) from SO Erin, a junior who has been on the Dressa...ge Team since freshmen year. She says, "I enjoy getting off campus and improving my riding. My favorite part off the Dressage Team is the welcoming community and the barn horses!" Tiara, a psychology major minoring in equine science. She says, "What I like about the team is it’s not only about riding horses, but also getting along together" Luv ya girls
We’ve been busy busy busy so far this semester especially with so many birthdays and it’s about time to make an update HAPPY BIRTHDAYS to... Katrina, a freshman in the vocal performance program, and is looking forward to making her PSU debut in Bizet’s Carmen this spring! She loves to be part of team because she likes meeting new people and the challenge that comes with catch riding. Jules, a freshman animal science major. She really enjoys the dressage team because i...t enables her to continue her passion for horseback riding while she's at college! Dressage is a discipline that she had not trained in before and is so excited to be learning something fun and new while adding to her riding resume! Kaylie, a sophomore majoring in Animal Science and minoring in Equine Science, hoping to eventually become a trainer for racehorses. Her other big involvement besides horses is Essex, the service puppy she’s training for Susquehanna. Kaylie’s favorite thing about the club is how helpful and welcoming everyone is to people who might not have such a high level of experience with horses quite yet. It really makes it feel like anyone with any experience is welcome! Lets hear it for our January babies!
Happy break and happy holidays from all of us (teammates, ponies, and furry mascots) to you! @ Standing Ovation Equestrian Center LLC
Never late than never... let’s wish a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our November babies!! Jillian is a junior majoring in Environmental Resource Management. She has been riding for 10 years but this is her first year on the team and she has loved every second of it! She's also involved with Ag Advocates and President of ERM Society. She looks forward to learning and growing with the team! Qianzi Cong(Julia) is a senior major in Education and Public Policy. She has been on the Penn St...ate Dressage team for 4 years. She loves to have the opportunity to ride every week and be able to have the chance to compete. She has learned a lot from her teammates! Chloe is a senior majoring in Wildlife Sciences and is currently the Secretary of this wonderful club. She's improved a lot throughout the years with our amazing trainer Lindsay and even got to start showing this semester. Her favorite equine at the barn is Sony pony! Although Chloe is growing on her a lot!
Turns out we’re all better at riding than ice skating ~Chloé

Congrats to these two ladies on their accomplishments outside of the dressage team!! Rachel is rocking her first blue ribbon for her win at her first show ever with the western team And Annie had the cutest photo shoot with her horse Brigadier (aka Billy) to show off her Bucks County High Point Award (third level junior rider)
Happy Birthday to our October babies!! Amanda Monahan: I’m a freshman hoping to major in biology and minor in marine sciences. When I’m not horseback riding, I love to play soccer, basketball, and ski. The thing I like most about the dressage team is the people! Everyone has been really nice and welcoming, and I’m super excited for this upcoming season with the team! Jacky: I’m a freshman majoring in computer science, I’ve loved programming since eighth grade and just rea...lly love being able to create things. I tend to build random games and programs whenever an idea strikes me. I’ve been riding horses since like fourth grade and currently own an Appaloosa named Creek. The club is really fun so far, I’ve been enjoying the lessons and I’m really excited to start showing with the team. I tend to be pretty shy around new people, but everyone has been super nice. See more
