Graziella Pilato majored in Plant Science and completed a minor in Spanish. Her research focused on the antimicrobial efficacy of Hydrastis canadensis in combating E. coli growth. She was on the executive board of MANRRS and a facilitator with World in Conversation. She mentored Millennium Scholars. She is applying to PhD programs and in the fall will be teaching with Teach for America.
Ilana Mosley majored in Veterinary and Biomedical Science. She is a member of the Schreyer Honors College and the Presidential Leadership Academy. She trained friend of the program, Boodles, as a service animal. She has done research in animal parasitology. In the fall she will begin a PhD/DVM program at Texas A&M.
Matthiew Haines majored in Food Science. He studied abroad in Brazil and interned with Nestlé. He was a Millennium Scholar mentor and will be a summer bridge program assistant. His research topic was Dietary Behavior, Olfactory and Gustatory Function in a University Student Population. In the fall he will pursue doctoral studies at Ohio State.
Nina De Luna majored in Immunology and Infectious Disease. She is a Dean’s List student, a member of the Schreyer Honors College and an Erickson Discovery Grant recipient. She mentored Millennium Scholars. Her research topic was the impact of B cell selenoproteins on the humoral immune response. She will begin doctoral studies at the University of Pennsylvania in the fall.

Phoebe McClincy, a Schreyer Honors Scholar, majored in Astronomy and Astrophysics. Her research focused on searching for gravitational waves from primordial black holes. She has contributed to two peer-reviewed publications. Phoebe was active in the Penn State community as president and THON Chair for the Millennium Society. She also served as a captain on the THON Technology committee. Phoebe participated in outreach as a member of Science LionPride and an Undergraduate Research Ambassador. She will be pursuing doctoral studies at George Mason University in the fall.
