#WeAre proud of Barbara Arnold, professor of practice in mining engineering and Penn State alumna, for her recent selection as honorary member of the AIME (American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical & Petroleum Engineers, Inc.), which is one of the highest honors the institute can bestow on an individual. Barb, who got her #PennState start at the New Kensington campus before earning her bachelor, master and doctoral degrees from the University, has been an integral member of... the Penn State New Kensington Alumni Society since the 1980's and the #PSNK Advisory Board since 1998. She earned Distinguished Alumni recognition in 2017 from the campus. In 2011, she was named an Alumni Fellow by the Penn State Alumni Association. Prior to that, she received the Robert Stefanko Distinguished Achievement Award for Mining Engineering in 2007 and the Graduates of Earth and Mineral Sciences Alumni Achievement Award in 2008 from the Penn State College of Earth and Mineral Sciences.
