Eberly alumna Dr. Ala Stanford said it was important to tell colleagues about her experience, and that "seeing people that look like them" getting vaccinated will help.

Using cryo-EM facilities at the National Cancer Institute and Penn State's Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences, a team led by Eberly researcher Katsuhiko Murakami of Penn State Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Microbiology and Biotechnology has shed new light on how the structure of RNA polymerase the enzyme that makes RNA from a DNA template is changed to modulate its activity and function.

The I AM STEM speaking contest is designed to help Eberly students develop and share their stories so that they can inspire other burgeoning STEM minds! The winners of this year's competition will be keynote speakers at our Virtual ENVISION: STEM Career Day Supporting Young Women event on March 20, 2021. Due to the pandemic-related changes in the Penn State semester schedule, the deadline for submission has been extended to January 25, 2021.
