Coins have been unearthed at the Stonetown site the oldest was 1820 so far, coins as late as 1867 have been found.

Here is a photo of a partial flask that was dug from the Stonetown site, a $8,000.00 flask in mint condition a Columbia flask with Lady Liberty's head and an eagle on the reverse side.

The club just had a quarterly meeting the topic was Traces of Stonetown. A ten house pre civil war structure that burned down shortly after the civil war artifacts that have been excavated from the site so far confirm this. Stonetown was built in the early 1800's to make homes for the local untrained quarry workers Scotch Irish, German, & English immigrants that worked in the Delta Quarry mines. Stonetown would have been located in present day Delta Pa., below is a picture of the foundation, a diggers paradise.
