Although its Not normally part of a constables daily work load to go to fire scenes tonight was an exception. Upmc lock haven hospital had a pretty major fire and I went out on scene to offer assistance.. 7 hours later the fire was safely put out..... All the patients and staff were evacuated without injury. Proud to be able to live and serve such a wonder community that has some amazing fire depts with great volunteers that truly are experts at firefighting

Public Announcement Dogs and Hot Cars! People, it's summer, it's hot. in the past few days here in the valley, police have had to respond to dogs locked in cars... that only had the windows cracked and the cars were not running. Lets use some common sense. It only takes a couple of minutes for a car to heat up to over 120 degrees, and keep rising. This will KILL your dog. The last call I heard, was of a call at Walmart with two dogs in it. Also, if your going to call into the police department, give a good description of the vehicle and where it is at. Give the License Plate number and please, wait the few minutes for the police to arrive so that they are not driving all over the place looking for the car. If you can, take photos and forward them to the police as well. Thank you

The officers and firefighters of Castanea Fire Company regret to announce the passing of our former chief and life member Denny White on Monday, June 6, 2020. D...enny served the fire company and his community through many roles during his time with us including firefighter, line officer, fire chief, and director positions. After resigning and retiring from his director position, Denny continued to assist the company with various tasks at the picnic grounds and the social hall. He will be missed by all of us, and we send our deepest condolences to his family during this difficult time. Out of respect for Denny, the station sign will remain covered and the torch will burn in his memory for one week. We have also "reserved a seat" at the social hall for the week by placing turnout gear at one of the stools. Rest in peace, brother. We'll take it from here.

Dont allow people to persuade you to hate us. Come ride with us for a day. Come talk with us and hang out with us for a day and make your own discions. Many peo...ple that hate us are the same ones who want to run freely and break the laws. Listen, I would never downplay some of today's events. I will never say some bad things haven't happened, but I'm telling you that before you follow the media and people's opinion, come see for yourself what we deal with. Come see for yourself who we are as people, as cops and as humans. I'm in no way saying that everyone who hates us is a criminal, I'm also not saying that some of the dislike towards us isnt warranted, but what I am saying is If I was a criminal, I too would hate the man who dares to stop me from committing crimes. If you are teaching innocent children to dislike cops or anybody on basis of prejudice. You are part of the problem today. No one and I mean no one will doubt that some bad things have happened. I will never agree with any injustices done to any persons, but when you start creating a generation who dislikes or hates people based on profession, race, religion, and preferences, you are creating a societal divide that will take decades to repair. I've told you before, if you're are going to hate me, let me give you a reason to do that. Dont just hate me because it's the popular opinion, hate me because I've actually done something. Let's stop the hate and assuming every cop is the same. Let's not forget the past but let's try to get past it. Lastly, if you think something needs change, then be the one to change it. If the words that come out of your mouth are negative, then the next step you take needs to positive and a change towards what it is you oppose. Negativity cant be overcome with lack of action. Good, better best. Never let it rest until your good is better than your best. If we move, we move together, if we fall we fall together.
