About thirty-five youth and young adults from the Maranatha Mission Movement (3M Ministry) recently spent a Sabbath afternoon feeding the homeless in Philadelphia. The group passed out pizza and beverages, toiletries, and literature. They offered to pray with people and offer them words of encouragement. 3M Ministry is a ministry of the Maranatha Hispanic Seventh-day Adventist Church, Philadelphia, Pa., designed to connect with second generation, English-speaking Hispanic young people led by Pastor Fernando Rocha. They offer English worship services, and opportunities to serve their community. #unitedtogether #reachingeveryoneeverywhere #faithfofamily #faithinaction
October 31, 2020 was a very special day for the Plohocky family. Pastor Joshua Plohocky was ordained at the Bucks County Seventh-day Adventist Church, Warminster, Pa., surrounded by family and friends. His grandfather, Lewis Norwood, also an ordained pastor, participated in the service, praying over his grandson along with Pennsylvania Conference leaders, Gary Gibbs, president, Will Peterson, vice president for administration, and Tim Bailey, ministerial director. Norwood and... Gibbs not only served as pastors together in the Gulf State Conference but were also ordained during the same service at camp meeting in 1989. That was not the only special moment for the Plohocky family. Following the ordination friends and family rejoiced as Plohocky baptized his sons, Levi and Caleb and their friend, Damien Bembry. Plohocky has been in full-time ministry since 2008, serving as Bible work coordinator in both the Michigan Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and the Missouri Conference of Seventh-day Adventists before becoming a senior pastor in the Iowa-Missouri Conference. He currently serves as senior pastor for the Bucks County and Fairview Village Seventh-day Adventist. An effective communicator of God’s Word, Plohocky is widely known for his practical and dynamic teaching style which helps people apply the timeless truths of Scripture to their everyday lives. He is an international speaker, sharing the gospel through radio, digital media, and evangelistic meetings. Born in Berrien Springs Michigan, Plohocky is currently enrolled in the Master of Ministry program through Andrews University. He and his wife, Diane, married since 2001, are the proud parents of Isaac, Levi, and Caleb. #unitedtogether #unitedtogetherwefulfillthemission #ordination #pastoralministry
Young adults from the Bucks County Seventh-day Adventist Church, Warminster, Pa., spent Sabbath sharing the love of God in the Kensington area of Philadelphia. The team gave blankets, winter coats, and toiletries to homeless people they met on the street. They also handed each person a bag with gloves, hats, scarf, mask, a copy of either The Great Controversy or The Great Hope, along with health flyers, and a card with the church contact. They also had muffins and water bottles for each person. Members offered to pray with each person and most of them accepted. The group prayed as they walked the streets for God to move powerfully. #bymyspirit #prayer #evangelism #faithforfamily #caringforneeds #sharingJesuslove #youngadults #unitedtogether #unitedtogetherwefulfillthemission #reachingeveryoneeverywhere
