It is with a heavy heart that we share this news; the Property Management Corporation and the reopening committee at the LNC have decided that they do not feel safe opening the doors of the preschool at this time. They will reassess after the fall term as to whether we can open up for winter and spring. Teaching and learning from your children is our lifes' work and our hearts' joy. We will miss them deeply, and will keep each of them in our thoughts and prayers. Unless you ...have told us that your child will not be coming at all this year, you can be assured of your spot when we are able to open up, if you are still interested and we hope you will be. Your children are first and foremost on our minds and in our hearts. We are sorry for any inconvenience this decision causes. We will miss you all, and pray that you have a happy and safe fall. Attn 2019/2020 preschool families: We are busy preparing for our drive-by graduation at the preschool on Sunday between 1:00 and 2:00,and anticipating it with joy! If you aren't able to make it, please let us know, and we will arrange for you to pick up your child's bag. We will all be stationed along the drive directing you as you go. Here are some more details about how it will work. Beth’s students, please come between 1:00-1:30, Pamela’s students between 1:30-2:00. If tha...t timing does not work for you let us know. Come between 1 and 2 or we can arrange another time. Enter through the Huntingdon Road driveway across from June Fete. Slowly drive through waving, honking, and saying hello, briefly stopping to see each teacher and staff along the way. We will hand your child their gift bag and diplomas. Please stay in your cars. Enjoy the graduation music Lenny Rose piped out for you to hear. Drive up to the road just beyond the sheepfold and turn left. At the parking lot, please have one adult briefly get out and pick up the bag with your child's belongings, gifts from their teachers, and the children’s books they made over the year. The Church is still taking precautions as stated in the yellow phase, so please keep a 6-foot distance from others, and wear masks. Please do not mingle or congregate, as it will slow up the process, as well as cause a safety concern. Please check the lost and found area for any belongings, or ask a teacher to hand you an item that is yours. Exit out of the Masons Mill Road driveway. Thank you for your assistance in this celebration. We can't wait to see you all, and celebrate your children and their achievement! Hello Everyone, In order to honor your children and to gain some closure of the past preschool year, we are planning a Drive-by Preschool Graduation on June 28, from 1:00-2:00 pm at the preschool. This will be a time for your children to see their adoring teachers from their car, celebrate their achievements, as well as receive their diploma, gift, and personal belongings. We encourage families to decorate their cars, and we will do all that we can to make this celebration a ...special event. This has been an unforgettable year! Your children have adjusted to a number of changes in their daily routine and our hats go off to you for being there for your children. Being a part of their lives has been a joy and we have missed them incredibly. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions, however we will be sending you all the details closer to the time. In light of the pandemic, we will cancel the Summer Program we usually have in July. This was not an easy decision especially when we have had so many inquiries about having it and since it is a such fun way to get to know each other before preschool opens in the Fall. This year we feel especially grateful to begin in the fall due to Covid distancing and the cancelation of our Summer Camp. We are planning to begin preschool on September 1, if the county allows. This means our Open House will be held Thursday, August 27. We will send out lots of information about our school year in July! Take care and stay well!

In light of the disquieting place we still find ourselves in, in 2020, we felt moved to reach out to you. We thought it important for you to know what we do at Pennypack Preschool to facilitate, teach, and encourage unity. It is a priority to highlight the importance of each individual’s uniqueness. We teach about differences and similarities amongst ourselves and the human race. We talk about variety in cultures, appearances, families, traditions, abilities, minds, hearts, a...nd talents. Also, we especially emphasize that the Lord made us exactly how we are meant to be. That He gave us special gifts in order to make this world we live in a better and more beautiful one. That we all have different abilities to add to the collective goal. We teach about working together to do good, about reaching out to help those that are in need, to notice and empathize with our friends and families, to include all who want to be included, and to reach out to those who are shy about asking or are feeling left out. We have books with children of different races, dolls of different colors, as well as crayons and markers that match all skin tones. We actively search for books and pictures to add to our library that depict children of all races, abilities and cultures. We are also seeking out new books and articles to help us learn how to make our classroom as multicultural and inclusive as we can. In making our classrooms a place where all children and parents feel safe, we listen, understand, ask questions and offer our support. We invite and encourage you to reach out if you ever have ideas or concerns, or if you would like to talk more about how we can collectively facilitate a truly diverse and inclusive classroom. With a true sense of regret we are closing Pennypack Preschool for two weeks due to Governor Tom Wolf’s mandate. Stay healthy! There will be more information to come.
