Due to the impending snow storm, the Food Bank will be open Wednesday December 16th from 8:45 until 11:45 only. We will be closed all day Thursday December 17th. We will be open Friday December 18th from 8:45 until 11:45. We are still planning to hold distribution at your regular sites and times as of right now. We are hoping the storm won’t interfere with our ability to get the food supplies to all of the distribution sites. We apologize. We can’t control Ole’ Man Winter!... We understand this is especially difficult because we were just closed for renovations. Next week in New Bloomfield, we will be open 8:45 11:45am and again from 13 pm December 21, 22 and 23. We will be open late Wednesday December 23rd from 4 6pm. Please share this information and keep checking Facebook for updates!

The Perry County Food Bank is once again Accepting food drive and private food donations! We previously communicated that we were advised by Central PA Food Bank to not accept any food donations unless from one of our Agency Retail Partners. That direction has changed!... If you or your organization is wishing to donate food, please phone us to make arrangements at (717)582-9978. We are asking for your call so we can limit the volume of people on the property and exposure to the virus through social distancing. Due to the corona virus, all donations will be placed in quarantine for a period of 72 hours on one of our trucks.

Thank you! I would like to take a moment and thank all of our veteran volunteers, new volunteers, distribution site volunteers and staff for the amazing job they are doing during this time of crisis! The Food Bank continues to be able to maintain our normal days and hours of operation due to all of the people that selflessly work to provide food stability for those in need. I am proud to be part of this important team and honored that I get to work beside all of these fine p...eople! Thank you! We would like to recognize our financial supporters as well. There are so many organizations, businesses, churches and many individuals that continue to financially support the Food Bank during this time of crisis and regularly throughout the year. Thank you! Another thank you is in order to all the clients who seek our services. We appreciate your understanding and patience. We know it is not easy to have to wait in a line in your car in order to receive food. It is wonderful that clients have maintained a smile and share well wishes with the volunteers who are working to help them with their food needs. We deeply appreciate that. Thank you! We thank those of you who are picking up food for others who are unable to come themselves. Many in our community are health compromised, unable to leave their home due to children, lack of transportation, loss of income etc. Thank you! I am proud of our community. If you are in need of food, please call (717)582-9978. We will take your information over the phone to speed the process for when you arrive. Be safe, well and THANK YOU! - Mary Ann Brownawell, Executive Director.

The Cornerstone Christian Church graciously donated over 750 pounds (well over 300) "birthday bags"! The bags contained a cake mix, frosting, candles and plates etc! A Party in a bag! We appreciate the kindness! I apologize for the error in wording!
