Just wrote this earlier today... Support any and all local restaurants! Your favorite places are going away if yinz don't support them, n'at! if you have a favorite place support them, they NEED the help! And that's even the established places... FYI getting hit from all sides. Can't have SITDOWN (my restaurant doesn't have any so that doesn't affect me), customers money is tight, supply chains are inconsistent and tough finding what you need and for some items prices increas...ed exponentially, the 3rd party Apps are new and don't provide consistent service or slam your business with high fees. Everything Is now takeout n delivery which has major costs of its own. I opened Jan 30th. Was attempting a ghost restaurant idea but the main focus was going to be a base for music fests n specialty fairs with some catering thrown in. That went away when the RONA hit. Had to focus on just being a delivery n take-out restaurant... We are surviving as a restaurant but barely. Did belt tightening, made menu changes, changed hours, marketing differently, changed recipes to the better, figured out multiple supply chains and focused more on the ghost restaurant part of things cause that is what is growing even with the costs associated with it. I got a good crew and I got their back n they have mine. Rona causes extra stress but working through the new abnormals.... Got good peeps who make a difference. Just amazed we have made it this far... Still getting tripped up here n there, car is in the shop again but that's fixable... I do want to THANK my customers you are keeping a small crew of people alive and appreciate the business... Support your local restaurants or they won't be around...much longer...
