This past April, just one week before her wedding day, Alexis Gioia, 37, took a walk around her neighborhood and suffered a heart attack. She hit the ground so hard, she was unconscious. She fractured her jaw and laid alone until a good Samaritan found her, administered CPR and called 911. Alexis has been in a coma ever since due to a loss of oxygen that resulted in a severe brain injury. To further complicate matters, COVID-19 guidelines prevented her mother Johnna from visiting for three months. Our 2020 WishRock Award winners are Brianna Mazzola, Mike Raymond Jr. and Dan Stevenson Jr. To keep with tradition, we will produce a 2020 Commemorative Booklet now to congratulate our winners on their commitment to our city and their positive impact on future generations a reminder to each of us that all great accomplishments begin with a dream. Our 2020 keepsake booklet is the ONLY celebration these winners will have to commemorate their accomplishment this year. We want them to feel the love!
