Artists in this year’s 19th Annual National Arts Program Exhibit for City Employees and their families represent almost 50 department offices and agencies throu...ghout the City of Philadelphia. Shara Gordon works for Philadelphia Parks & Recreation as the facility supervisor of the Hawthorne Cultural Arts Center. She won First Place in the Professional Category for her artwork Hand Painted Rayon Crochet Scarf. On revealing her creative side to her colleagues Shara stated: "Creativity is large part of who I am. Revealing my creative side to my colleagues comes very naturally." On her message as an artist, Shara shared: "I want people to see beauty and to feel something emotionally when viewing at my art."

Another Summer Art Camp in the books! Thank you to all the parents for your support of this program as well as the children for your inspiration. Without you, this wouldn't be possible. We hope to see you all next year. Thank You, The Visual Arts Department

The Visual Arts Camp is on a trip to City Hall today to check out the gallery, spring art show and are doing a project in the courtyard.

We will be mailing out our acceptance letters to the campers and will be hosting parent orientations on the following dates: June 19th: Fisher Park, 6:30 PM June 20th: Parkside Evans, 6:30 PM June 21st: Wissinoming, 6:30 PM... Also, you may pay for your child's session on these dates as well if you haven't already

Good morning everyone! We currently experinecing problems with our internet and are unable to send out parent orientation information. As soon as our internet is back up we will be sending out e-mails.

Today is Love Your Park Day here at Fisher Park! The community comes together and cleans the area as well as provides an art project for the kids. Last but not least we are promoting our summer art camp for the Visual Arts program for the city of Philadelphia! Come show some love.
