NEW PROGRAMMING ALERT WURD Radio welcomes the return of veteran host, Nick Taliaferro in drive time 4-7pm Monday through Thursday starting TODAY. Taliaferro has... been a teacher, counselor, writer, musician, minister, government administrator, philosopher and a swimsuit model (although the last position was only for one day, at the School for the Blind). "The show will feature a heavy parade of guests who are both newsmakers, and opinion-shapers, and all of them will be challenged to offer relevant explication for why they are doing what they are doing," says Taliaferro. The ultimate aim of the show is to contextualize events and news in a way that allows common people to proactively determine how information will impact them. Taliaferro hopes listeners will come away from the program better equipped to impact those people and institutions that actually make the news. #eveningwurds

The story behind the photo: I went on assignment (voluntarily) last week for today’s story about the digital divide and remote learning. It was my first time ou...t reporting since the pandemic. I was a little nervous. I said a prayer, and put on my mask and vowed to be cautious, keep my distance and not touch anything or anybody. Well, this little guy waved, said hello and approached me. With beautiful big Brown eyes he looked up and said: I need a hug. Lord have mercy! So that’s what I did. Y’all please pray for the children and the big ones, too. We’ll get through this. #Journalistchronicles #reporterlife #Journalistsmatter See more
