That moment just after you begin a project and think, Sweet Baby Jesus, what have I done???

Can you spot the differences in my quick cabinet makeover? In my small galley kitchen, our cabinets stretch to the ceiling to make use of every inch of space. This cupboard above the refrigerator houses less frequently used supplies and items that are too large to store below the kitchen counters. Though I didn’t need to declutter this space, the items weren’t easily accessible, especially while I was standing on a step ladder to retrieve the stuff! In less than an hour, a simple rearranging means I can now grab a baking sheet or a mixing bowl without the rest of the cabinet crashing to the floor! In just a few hours, I can help you make the most out of your cabinet and cupboards.

Rome may not have been built in a day but there is plenty we can accomplish in a few hours. A room refresh? A closet makeover? A gallery wall? I can help you with these projects. All in a day’s work.

Sometimes, to create order you need to uncontain yourself. Back in 2008, when we renovated our tiny galley kitchen, I created a spice wall in the adjacent closet using ikea spice jars and racks. Unfortunately, I have too many spices and ikea has long discontinued these products so I’ve been storing extra jars in a kitchen drawer along with my crockpot, onions, potatoes, and garlic. Today, I realized if I take away a container, I can use the space more efficiently. (Meanwhile, I’m still secretly hoping Ikea brings this Rationell Variera spice rack system back!) If one of your goals is a better organized home in 2018, declutter before you invest in new containers, bins, and boxes! If you need a push to get started, I can help!

I believe less is more unless we’re talking about pretty fabric! This colorway will become throw pillows in a favorite client’s home.

It's November 15th? Have you cleaned out your refrigerator yet? Who really needs 3 opened bottles of ketchup anyway?

Have lots of LEGO everywhere? I love IKEA's Glis boxes to corral my kid's collection. We organize the bricks by color but maybe your young creator prefers to keep set pieces together. At $3.99 apiece, these plastic lidded containers are a fairly inexpensive but sturdy way to LEGO clutter contained? Need some assistance organizing the toys in your life? Give me a call. Organizing stuff is my idea of playtime!

Finally! Some breathing room! Earlier this year, I found a beauty of a cabinet abandoned on the sidewalk. After lugging it home, I couldn't find a spot for such a large item. I moved a couple of things from the living room and stuck the cabinet in the corner knowing this location was temporary until inspiration struck. Today was that moment...for someone else. I offered it up on a FB page. I feel so much lighter and this gem has found a forever home. If you're waiting to exhale and need help saying goodbye to clutter, give me a shout. And if you love an abundance of stuff but can't figure out how to organize it all, I am at your service!

Ah, September. The summer is winding down and school is back in session. What are you going to do with stretched out, sun-bleached bathing suits and the kids' out-grown clothing? If clothes are too worn-out for the Donate pile (No one wants old underwear!), drop them off at H&M. The company recycles our castaways (all clothing, not just H&M label!) into new textiles! And you get a 15% off coupon for your next purchase. Don't shop at H&M? Commit a random act of kindness and pass the savings on to someone standing in the checkout line!

Busy families spend countless minutes running up and down the stairs of their homes. I recently hung a gallery wall on a client's staircase landing. Now, in those hectic moments, she has a visual reminder of the joy in the chaos. Do you have a stash of family photos calling to be displayed? I can help!

Too much clutter?I can help you declutter so that your home showcases your family's joy rather than your stuff. https://www.facebook.com/robinparke/posts/10155883851028974

An organized decluttered home can still be personalized with your family's sense of fun. While my daughter spent a month at sleep-away camp, I surprised my favorite Dr Who fan with a Tardis bedroom door. The twelve year old was so excited, she vowed to keep her room clean from now on. I doubt this will happen but another happy customer, nonetheless!

Don't let the size of a window determine its impact on a room. In this bedroom, I extended curtain rods well beyond the windows' width. I also took advantage of the ceiling height and hung the curtains higher than the window. Now, the three windows in this bedroom add polish to a serene resting place.
