Looking forward to Sunday's event ! Please join us.
Five Below has been incredibly supportive of PCF by organizing two separate customer donation drives at various Philadelphia area locations. PCF sorted the thousands of dollars worth of supplies and distributed them to several schools in underserved neighborhoods including Steel, Emlen Emlen Elementary School, Henry H. Houston Elementary School, James Logan Elementary School, and Duckrey TannerSchool, a new school we are working with in North Philadelphia. Thank you Five Below!
We are proud to support another wonderful community organization, the Haven Youth Center. They are already putting the 10 computers we installed this summer to great use!
This publicly accessible computer lab at the Haven Paniel Methodist Church in North Philadelphia was referred to us by the Greater Brewerytown CDC (where we recently installed a lab). Pastor Brawner also runs a Youth Center in Southwest Philadelphia where we installed a 3-unit lab and a printer.
Thanks to Philadelphia Mental Health Center for all the great work you do and for your continued support of PCF!
At every Five Below location, we were met by the nicest store managers and employees that were thrilled when told how much their donations meant and how they were being used. On behalf of all the schools that received these goods, we want to thank the Five Below customers and all the people at Five Below for making it happen! Schools that benefited from the Five Below donations included Emlen Elementary School, A.B. Day Elementary School, James Logan Elementary School, Dobson, Henry H. Houston Elementary School, Thomas Mifflin School, ShawmontSchool, and Edward T. Steel Elementary.
PCF installed a 15-unit computer lab at the Brewerytown-Sharswood Community Civic Association. The facility serves a community of over 8,000. 51% live below the government poverty level line; the rate of unemployment is higher than any other zip code (19121) in Philadelphia; the school drop-out rate is high. Our facility is open to all the residents: youth, young adults, and seniors.
When PCF received a request from Village of Arts & Humanities for some laptop computers that were needed for programming and web development courses being taught over the summer, we jumped at the opportunity. The Village is an amazing place and a great resource and PCF was delighted they were teaching computer courses over the summer. All in all 10 laptops (donated by Radnor Township School District) were set up on the 3rd floor where classes are taught.
