Some readers were outraged at our "contest." Now, let's turn that outrage onto Philly's elected leaders who have failed miserably at keeping us all safe. Here's looking at you, Philadelphia House Delegation
More activities!
"I hope that people come to my show and take a little time to laugh at themselves." TONIGHT and tomorrow at Punch Line Philly.
A super powerful 'Voices' this week:
Soros bankrolls many legislative candidates, too, but this buying district attorneys with their wide discretion as to which crimes to prosecute is an end run around lawmakers.
Thanks to all who have supported our push for creating a balanced alt-weekly. There's still time to take a look at what we're proposing and lend your support. http://kck.st/2Fr0Qos
Interested in a little balance added to Philly’s progressive news cycle? Consider picking up what we’re putting down.
Hey Philly! We are at about 70% funded in our push for a more balanced alt-weekly. If you have no issue with a conservative viewpoint also having a say in the city they inhabit, we'd love your support.
A little balance isn’t a bad thing.
We're leaving the echo chamber of progressive journalism.
New EP, album coming this fall, figuring out how to tour during a pandemic. This is life for Philly group Humilitarian.

The city's Office of Homeless Services had a lot to say about our cover story last week. So we ran their concerns in full ... alongside the link to the story again, in this week's Voices of Our City.

Having grown up in Central Pennsylvania, Kirby Sybert found himself in New York City for a short stint before settling in Philadelphia, where he discovered a scene filled with musicians and creatives who fully embraced him. This city has really opened me up to being an artist and has allowed me to continue that artistic journey, he said. It's got such a vibrant music scene in all parts of the city, and I'm thankful to be a part of the little sliver myself and my friends have carved out. If I remember correctly, now would be the time for back-to-school specials to start, the sales, the driving from, and moving in days. This is normally a life-defining moment: making friends to drink with (sure, let’s include grade school and high schoolers in the boozing), finding ideals and polemics with which to bond. Like, for instance, our dumb freshmen friends at Villanova, who just couldn’t socially distance from each other long enough when it came to starting school in the burbs. How we’re checking out Philly’s beer gardens It’s summer, so we all could use a trip to a beer garden. Visit Philly just came up with a long list of great spots to check out. Here are our favorites, but go to visitphilly.com for the whole list. And remember: It’s 2020. Things change daily. Be sure to contact the beer garden before you go to check times, reservation requirements, safety precautions, etc. [ 2,245 more words ] https://philadelphiaweekly.com/the-rundown-aug-20-27/
Q: I'm a 35-year-old woman. I recently discovered I'm a size queen. (Is it OK for me to use this term?) This has been brewing for a while as I have dabbled with purchasing larger and larger cucumbers and fucking myself with them after a good wash. I use a condom and tons of lube and it's been amazing. Are there any safety or health concerns I should be aware of? [ 1,418 more word ] https://philadelphiaweekly.com/quickies-3/
