Making plans for tomorrow, its going to be a beautiful fall day. Stop by the station for the fall festival and help support local non profit organizations, pick up a chicken dinner for lunch and enjoy all the activities. Festival starts at 10am.

Shine it up, Show it off. Want to show off your classic/antique car or truck. We will be having a cruise in during our fall festival event this Saturday October 10th from 10am until 2pm. If you would like to participate please assemble on the 400 block of Mulberry Street starting at 9am. Space may be limited so come early to get a spot.

Lastnight around 11:30pm Station 10 was dispatched for an engine transfer to station 16 Greenwood fire department while they operated on a commercial building fire. While enroute Chief 16 upgraded the box to a 2nd alarm assignment upgrading Engine 10 to the scene. Engine 10 responded with a crew of 5. Arrived on scene assisted with extensive overhaul and suppression activities. Engine 10 crew was released just before 2am

Schedule of events at the fire station for the fall festival this Saturday October 10th. 8am - Vendor set up begins 9am - car/truck show set up. (400 block of Mulberry st) 10am - Vendor sales & car/truck show begins, fire station open house and fire apparatus displays. Phoenix VFD bake sale, pumpkin and Mums sales.... 11am - Chicken BBQ sales begin 11am - HAHS Jazz band performance 12pm - HAHS drumline performance 2pm - festival comes to a close. Attention area residents and those attending the festival, the following roads will be closed for the event starting at 7am. *200 block of Wayne St., from Blair St to Mulberry St. *400 block of Mulberry St., from Wayne St to Union St.

Saturday morning Station 10 assisted station 30 on a working fire. Bringing Engine 10 with 6 and rehab 10 to the scene. Crews assisted with overhaul of the second floor and checking for extension in the attic. Later released by command.

Don't forget we will be having a chicken BBQ during the Fall Festival event. Dinner includes 1/2 BBQ chicken, macaroni salad, baked beans and roll for $10. Stop by and enjoy some fantastic barbecued chicken, cooked on site by our very own Volunteer Firefighters.... Pre sale tickets can be purchased from any department member or by stopping by the fire station at 206 Wayne St. Hollidaysburg. Calling all non profit organizations & craft vendors. The Phoenix VFD in conjunction with the US Hotel will be holding a fall festival on Saturday October 10th 2020 from 10am till 2pm. Wayne st. in front of the fire station & S. Juniata st. in front of the US Hotel will be closed to allow vendors to set up booths.... This event has been established for non profit organizations and small businesses to raise funds during these trying economic times of shut downs. We are pleased to announce that the 84th annual Phoenix Volunteer Fire Dept. Halloween Parade will take place on Saturday October 31st 2020. Starting time will be 6 pm. There will be no events held at the station at the end of the parade. Line up will start at 4pm in the area of the football field / Union st. side.... If you are interested in participating in this year's parade contact Bob Dilling at 814-695-0521 for an entry form. Parade route will be as follows. N.Montgomery st. to Garber St., turning right proceeding to N.Juniata St turning left and proceeding to Allegheny St turning left and proceeding to Union St turning right and proceeding to Mulberry St where the parade will end. We hope to see everyone come out and enjoy the areas largest Halloween parade.
