To be honest, I don’t even know where to begin. To be named the Best Black Owned Hair Salon in Pittsburgh is truly amazing! The humble part of me often downplays a lot of my accomplishments. This time, I will take in this moment and just feel the love that my community has given back to me. I always talk about my little one chair studio, but I sometimes don’t give it enough credit for what actually happens in this space. This little studio is accepting of ALL people, from A...LL walks of life, with more than just different hair types. I love the environment that I was able to create in this space for all of you, and this just validates that you all love it just as much! I promise that I will continue to pour my all into this salon, I will always greet you with a smiling face, I will always provide a listening ear, advice and prayers if you want them. NEW SALON GUIDELINES Recently, I was exposed to COVID-19 from a client who had tested positive. I had to close my studio last week as I waited for my results. My test came back negative(Thank you God) and I am able to reopen tomorrow, as it’s been 14 days since my exposure. As most of you know, I have a 9 year old daughter who has an autoimmune disease. I am putting in more strict guidelines to make sure that this does not occur again. For the safety of myself and all of... you, I will now require you to sign a waiver with questions regarding your possible exposure to COVID-19 before entering the studio. Examples of questions are as follows: 1. Have you been to a gathering of over 25 people within the past 14 days? 2. Do you have a pending test? 3. Have you been to a bar within the past 14 days? 4. Have you had a cough, fever, body aches, chills, loss of taste and/or smell? 5. Have you shown symptoms of COVID-19 or been around someone who has shown symptoms of COVID-19 within the past 14 days? 6. If I begin to exhibit symptoms or test positive for COVID-19 within the next 2 weeks, I will contact my stylist. This will ensure that my studio stays a safe place to be. I will continue to do my part in my sanitation/disinfection before and after each client... and as always TEMPERATURES WILL BE TAKEN AND MASKS ARE REQUIRED
