Earlier this month, we celebrated these Phoenix Physical Therapists in our central PA region for becoming Certified Manual Physical Therapists through NAIOMT, the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. Our CMPT Physical Therapists are efficient, accurate, and effective at providing skilled ‘hands-on’ treatment for neuromusculoskeletal conditions. Congratulations! NAIOMT CMPT proposes an eclectic approach to management, focusing on producing alterations in the neurophysiological system through all types of manual therapy and exercise. NAIOMT

Fun Fact Friday! In 1921, Mary McMillan became the president of the American Women's Physical Therapeutic Association with 274 members. At this time, physical therapy was known as a women’s health profession. This organization is now known as the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and represents over 100,000 PTs in the U.S. alone. Today's spotlight is on Phoenix's Lewistown, PA clinic. These employees are local to Lewistown and well known in the area. Patients come for the whole experience from the interaction with the PCCs to the treatment they receive from the clinical staff. They've developed connections with a leading Pennsylvania healthcare provider and are an integral part of their pain program. Because of this, they have returned to pre-COVID levels and are quickly outgrowing their space. Team members include Tyler Hess, Clinic Director, Derek Heisler, PT, Halley Parzanese, PTA, Valeria Dressler, COTA, Sarah Wible, PTA/PCC1, Elizabeth Simone, PCC2 and Nicole Hobbs, OT.
