Featuring the work of our 2020 award winners, and selected further images selected by our Curator Michael Bruinvels (Formerly World Press Photo).

Philadelphia Photo Arts Center continues to offer fantastic opportunities for the photo community! Professional Practices in Photography (P-3) is a new certificate program and will be led by artist and curator Efrem Zelony-Mindell () P-3 participants will learn from successful artists including David Hartt, Julianna Foster, Shawn Theodore, Caroline Tompkins, and Jessica Pettway. Participants will study and practice a host of skills including financial reporting, social med...ia strategies and skills, developing an online presence, networking and public relations, building a visual brand, looking for studio space, and copyright and photo licensing. P-3’s inaugural program is free and limited to 12 participants. Applicants must reside in the greater Philadelphia metro area. Selection is based on merit and need.

Keep an eye on this incredible list of photographers on Diversify Photo, you may see some familiar names soon The University of the Arts from the Photo Program! Diversify is a verb. It is an action an intentional movement to break with the predominantly colonial and patriarchal eye through which history and the mass media has seen and recorded the images of our time. Diversify was born out of a recognition that calling for more diversity in the photo industry is not enough. To diversify photo, we need to equip Art Buyers, Creative Directors, and Photo Directors with resources to discover photographers of color available for assignments and commissions.
