Meadowbrook Farm is still open and accepting reservations until October 17th! Experience acres of beautiful, unique plant life against the backdrop of a historic estate. Amongst the stunning plant life at Meadowbrook Farm are herbs that that can be used for your everyday recipes. The original estate owner J. Liddon Pennock Jr. grew mint leaves in the garden to achieve his favorite drink, the classic mojito. In the spirit of Mr. Pennock, here is our staff’s preferred rec...ipe for a delicious pomegranate sangria. Pomegranates can be found growing in the herb garden at Meadowbrook Farm today. Recipe: 2 oranges 1 bottle of Spanish red wine 1-1/2 cups of pomegranate juice 1/3 cup of orange liqueur 1/4 cup of brandy or cognac 2 tablespoons of lemon juice 3 tablespoons of sugar 1 large apple, chopped into 1/4-inch pieces 1/2 cup of pomegranate arils
