Working smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors save lives! As you turn your clocks back, please remember to change out the batteries in your smoke alarms and CO detectors! This is also a good time to check the manufacture date on your units. Smoke detectors should be replaced after 10 years from manufacture date. Depending on the make/model, CO detectors should be replaced between 5-7 years, so it is best to follow the manufacture’s recommendation.
