I was thrilled, Braden Brunson said of his $4,000 scholarship. I was very happy. It relieved a weight off my shoulders because I’m paying for my education my...self. It's really gratifying, (and maybe a little self-indulgent,) to find and share so many local stories in so many local papers about the young men and women who applied for and received a work-ethic scholarship from mikeroweWORKS. This kid, in my estimation, has a bright future in his chosen field, and we were happy to assist him in his vocational goals. In other news, our little mask fundraiser is not so little. First semester PIA students Braden Brunson and Shane Miley are two of the nationwide recipients of the 2020 Work Ethic Scholarship. The scholarship through Mike Rowe WORKS Foundation honors and provides financial support to students enrolled in trade schools that clearly demonstrate a commitment to personal responsibility, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
