An open letter to our beloved clientele: There's simply no sufficient articulation of the English language to express our gratitude for the seemingly endless support we've been afforded by our customers, our staff and our community. As so many of you are already aware, this past 18 months has been, by far, the most arduous chapter in the PVT's saga under Abruzzese family ownership. Emboldened by the aforementioned support, we've striven to provide a small sense of normalcy du...ring the most abnormal of times. Although the tides have shifted in our favor regarding social distancing regulations, it seems the metaphorically contagious effects of COVID-19 persist; vis-à-vis: cost of goods. Through the pandemic, I learned even more about the value of transparency. As General Manager, when it comes to certain elements of the industry that are typically sensitive or "closed door," I've made a considerable effort to embrace the sense of community with our clientele and to share the sense of burden rather than conceal it; We can accomplish more together. It's an unorthodox approach for certain, but the response has been an overwhelming out-pour of support. In regards to the industry-wide increase of product costs, and in that very spirit of transparency, I've attached an internal report detailing the new costs that we've incurred for the same products we've always offered. In light of these costs, I'd like to be inherently clear about something up front, rather than do it behind closed doors: There will be a temporary increase in pricing on certain items, some of which are our best sellers, to help mitigate the sudden increase in costs. We have held off raising prices for as long as is sustainable and you have our word our pricing will always reflect the fair market value of the goods our menu items represent. Additionally, I will keep the lines of communication open, and announce any changes in pricing, whether an increase or decrease.
