We hope all of you have had a great holiday season! We’d like to reach out to our community to help out another broomball community in need. Mondo, one of the longtime leaders of Carolina Broomball, is currently battling leukemia, and a gofundme has been created to raise funds to pay the expensive medical bills that accompany battling the disease. We know the broomball community is one of the best communities of any in the world, and we hope you can join us in helping a very valued member of the community. Thank you very much. And yes, it has been way too long since we’ve gotten to meet & play together.

In light of the new orders from the state yesterday, and today’s advisory announced by Allegheny County (yes, we know Center Ice is outside of Allegheny County), the decision was made to cancel the pickup time we had scheduled for this coming Saturday at 8. We do not have any further ice time scheduled. Regardless of the situation around us, we know how difficult it is to schedule around the holidays anyway. We hope you can all stay safe through what could be some tough weeks ahead. Make sure you stay active, so that first shift back on the ice doesn’t crush you too hard!

Sadly, we’ve had to make the decision to cancel the 2020 Mid-Atlantic Broomball Tournament. We will soon be in contact with all registered individuals and teams to arrange refunds. We are looking forward to working with our partners and friends at the Erie Sports Commission and Erie Bank Sports Park to bring the tournament back in 2021. Furthermore, we look forward to reconnecting with all of our broomball friends from around the country in (hopefully) the not-too-distant fut...ure. Until then, stay safe. - Pittsburgh Broomball Club
