My next Motherless Daughters psychotherapeutic support group will be starting on Tuesday., Oct. 17th. It will be on four consecutive Tuesday evenings at my office in Wexford from 6-7:30 p.m. The group is for adult women whose mothers have died. We will cover many aspects of mother loss, including grief and loss, self identity and confidence, how other family members are reacting to the loss (which may drastically change family dynamics) and related issues. The cost is $40 p...er week, which is often covered by insurance. I am a provider for both UPMC and Highmark insurance plans. Please forward this information to anyone who may be interested in the group. My contact email is [email protected]. Thanks! For more information about me or my Motherless Daughters group, please visit my website at: http://www.sarahsouri.com/

My latest blog post was difficult to write, and it may be difficult for you to read. I am finally sharing my own story of sexual assault, with the hope that it will help another survivor. Feel free to share it. http://www.pittsburghmotherlessdaughters.com//why-a-woman-

As a psychotherapist (and former journalist), I'm used to being the person asking a lot of questions. It was interesting to be on the other side of the interview!
