Yesterday morning the Pennsylvania Department of Health announced that dental offices in the Commonwealth may reopen for routine care, provided they follow the revised guidelines just published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. I spent part of the afternoon yesterday attending an online seminar from the CDC specifically dedicated to these revised guidelines in the dental setting. After attending that talk, I am confident that the protocols I have adopted ei...ther meet or exceed the recommendations of the CDC. I am therefore pleased to let you know that beginning Monday, June 8, we will resume regular treatment, including cleanings. As you might expect, there are changes in the way things will be done, but rest assured that these changes are meant to ensure your safety above all. It has been nearly 3 months since we shut down to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Believe me when I say that it will be nice to see you again!

This afternoon, the Pennsylvania Department of Health released a new guidance for dental offices during this phase of the Covid-19 pandemic. Under this new set of recommendations, we may now perform procedures which for the past few months have been prohibited. Initially, our treatment will be limited to those whom we know have either existing or reported problems. Routine examinations and cleanings will likely not occur for several more weeks. We will make every effort po...ssible to care for your dental needs IN A SAFE ENVIRONMENT. New protocols for arriving and being in the office will take some getting used to, but your safety is foremost in our minds. This disease has not gone away. On Sunday, March 22, the Pennsylvania Department of Health closed all dental offices in the Commonwealth who do not have isolation rooms. This closure includes emergency care. Because of this order, we will not be allowed to provide treatment to anyone until the ban is lifted. Of you have a dental emergency, please leave a message on our answering machine and we will attempt to address it as best as we can.... Stay home. Stay well. Stay safe.
