All technicians will wash their hands at every opportunity using proper hand-washing techniques, and utilize hand sanitizer when soap and clean water are not available. We have implemented a no-contact rule, and our technicians will refrain from shaking customer’s hands. Technicians are also to remain at least 6’ away from anyone inside the home. All team members will utilize a fresh pair of shoe covers and protective gloves inside of each home, and change as needed. Team members will lay down clean drop cloths to further protect all work areas. Technicians will also utilize disinfectant wipes on any surfaces that must be touched, including door handles, tools, and home surfaces. We appreciate your patience as we deal with scheduling changes due to some of our staff being on leave. We will continue to communicate all changes as quickly as possible. HVAC Pro Tip # 10 Check Around Your Thermostat Do you ever feel colder in your home than the temperature reading on your thermostat? It could be due to close by heat producing items giving you an inaccurate reading! The most common culprit is a lamp placed too close to the thermostat; the heat from the light bulb makes the device think the room is warmer than it actually is, causing your system to run less (or in the summer, run more). Keeping lamps and other heating devices a few feet away from your thermostat will keep you comfortable in your home, and prevent over-spending on utilities! #PlatinumPlumbingPA #HVACProTip #ThermostatTip #StayWarm
