We are exited to partner with the Pocono Township Library to provide a StoryWalk at Mountain View Park this season! Area families can enjoy "It's a Tiger!" by David LaRochelle while walking along our wooded trail, combining a love of reading with a love of nature. Park guests can access the StoryWalk at the trailhead adjacent to Pavilion 3 and the volleyball court. We want to extend a special thank-you to Suzanne and Jan of the Library for their work coordinating this opportunity and our Park Crew for doing an outstanding job keeping the trails and Park spotless!

Ice skating at TLC Park (corner of ST 611 and SR 715) is open! Our seasonal rink is open and ready for skaters, weather-dependent. The ice is currently solid enough to skate, but conditions are subject to day-to-day temperatures. We will do our best to update the public as conditions change. Regardless, please exercise caution if you plan to skate. Once cold weather returns next week, we plan to fire up the generator daily to allow for night-time skating until approximately... 9:00 PM. When in doubt, please call the Township for current availability/conditions!

We want to give a very sincere thank you and shout-out to the Pocono Township Public Works crew for their skilled work in rehabbing and reconstructing the TLC Park lower pond and spillway. Those familiar with the park will recall that this pond was largely covered with invasive cattails, the water level remained low and the spillway was both dangerous and crumbling. With a permit from DEP, the crew embarked on cleaning out the pond and removing cattails; placing stone around... the perimeter of both ponds to protect against erosion; clearing out the pipe that provides water to the ponds; pouring concrete to reinforce the existing [old] spillway; and fabricating a new metal grate in-house. Work will continue to complete the spillway rehab and wing walls, with plans to rebuild the stone walls and improve the aesthetic by facing the concrete with original stone. We are fortunate to have a talented Public Works crew with a diverse skillset to complete all this work. We look forward to continuing to improve TLC Park and build out its infrastructure for our residents to enjoy in the months and years ahead.

We're pleased to welcome a new Peterbilt single-axle dump truck to the Township just in time for the winter plowing season! This truck is a critical part of continuing to update our aging fleet and ensuring our roads are kept clear and projects completed around our community.
