Good Afternoon all, I am forwarding a letter that all parishioners will be receiving in the mail about church openings this week! With the strict CDC guidelines we must keep only one church open! SS. Peter and Paul will remain closed during the Yellow Phase! All masses will be held at St. John the Baptist church until we go to Green Phase. Bigger church we can meet the 25% capacity rule better. Everything is stated in Letter! As far as Polish Mass is concerned the high mass w...ill be 11:00. From what I have been told, Father David does not feel comfortable exposing himself to different churches so Father Karpyn will be main celebrant at mass. Readings and Prayers can be done in polish. We must give a little for now! Our parish is not closing! The sanitizing expense for the respirators the solution the mister which must be done after every mass will cut down expenses! We are looking for volunteers to help with sanitizing the church! I have been trained with a suit, respirator mask, and misting machine. Not hard but requires some training to use! It takes about a half hour to sanitize after every mass. Currently there are only two of us! i know this may not sit well with al ot of the bilingual people who look forward to the Polish Mass, nut this is the best we can do now! If anyone wants to volunteer for masses which there is only 2 on Sunday, Phone the rectory or shoot me an email.We will need ushers and sznitizers for each mass! As you have already received a letter from Father Karpyn about Holy Week, we at SS. Peter and Paul would like to open our church for private prayer on Good Friday and Easter Sunday! Many of our parishioners live a great distance and do not have computers! Let’s face it! We are an olde...r parish when it comes to technology! So what we are doing is posting this on Both the Polish Club Facebook page and Website! If you are reading this, We ask you by word of mouth to communicate this message to other parishioners! We know there is a Stay at Home order, so we will follow the guidelines of social distancing! We will obey the 6 feet between rule, Bring your own Hand Sanitizer and when finished with your private prayer, we are asking to bring your own Clorox wipes or some other disinfectant to sanitize your area before you leave! At this time, We will put our collection basket in front of alter so you can put your envelopes in with your offerings! Or simply, send your envelopes to the St. John the Baptist Rectory not SS Peter and Paul by mail! Our times for Private Prayer will be the following: 1. Good Friday- 5:00PM-7:30PM 2.
