The POPMS is now accepting scholarship applications through March 31, 2020. The Society will offer up to five $1,500 scholarships to qualifies students and individuals who work of live in the Tri-State (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware) area. These scholarships are intended to advance their education, career or professional training in the marine/maritime/transportation/logistics industry. Yesterday, a luncheon was held to recognize its former Presidents of the organization and voted in a new President and Officers. Congratulations to all! Welcome our new President, Nathan Hauser. Thank you to Arthur Sulzer for your leadership over the last 2 years and your unique gift to Nathan!

Subject: 2020 Election of Officers and Directors On October 24th, 2019, at the Presidents & Membership Luncheon Meeting, the Society will hold its Annual Meeting and Election of Officers and Directors in accordance with the By-Laws of the Society. The Board is accepting nominations for the following positions for a term starting in January, 2020. If elected, attendance at quarterly board meetings would be expected. President - (2-year term) Vice President - (2-year term) Directors (4 Vacancies) - (3- year term) Requirements for nomination 1. Director - Nominee must be a member in good standing. 2. President and Vice President Nominee must be a member in good standing and have served as a Director for a full term. If you are interested in a position please send an email of your interest and a short CV of your background to the Secretary, Linda Green, [email protected] by close of business on October 1.
