Power Yoga Boro

My yoga practice teaches me to be present. To live moment to moment, breath to breath. I look at a moment as one breath in and one breath out. The average person takes 15 breath cycles in a minute. That calculates to 7,884,000 breaths or moments in one year. If I strive to be present and live my daily life in moments, then, I can choose to view the moments of the past in the same way. Instead of looking back over the last 365 days and lumping nearly 8 million moments togeth...er and labeling them a challenge and calling the whole year awful, I am choosing to see it as a continuous thread of individual moments that took its form as the year 2020. I had moments of joy and I celebrated them. I had moments of peace and solitude and I felt rested. I had moments of victory when I took on a challenge and learned something new. Moments of sadness and devastation that brought a waterfall of tears to my eyes. I had more moments of prayer than I can count and endless moments of gratitude for the many blessings in my life. If we choose to see 2020 in moments, many of us will discover that we have lived through moments that caused a full range of emotions from total bliss to utter sorrow. The key is to acknowledge each and everyone of those moments for what they have taught us.
