4/28/2020 Dear Sweet Pea Patch Parents, I pray that you and your family are doing well, during this troubling time in all our lives. ... I am writing this letter to try and keep you informed as to the operations at the Sweet Pea Patch. I know the first question on everyone’s mind is, when are we going to reopen? As far as a re-opening date there are several factors that go along with this happening. I’ve been closely following the directives from the public health officials, and now the Government is starting to allow some businesses to reopen. The state of Pennsylvania is in the process of slowly reopening with its three-phase, red, yellow and green plan. Child Care facilities, which right now are in the yellow phase, have not received the official go ahead to open under state directions, as of the writing of this letter. When this does happen, there are still many issues that have to be resolved, such as incorporating new state standards for operation, obtaining PPE and getting a work force back in place are among those things. This letter is to inform you that I have made the difficult decision to continue the temporary closure of the Sweet Pea Patch, through at least the month of May. Hopefully by then the picture will be clearer. I understand that this decision may possibly have a profound impact on your daily routine; however safety for us all is my top priority. I truly hope we will be able to return to our normal operations soon. I will be updating you on our status by way of phone, email, Facebook or the Dojo app, as I work towards the ultimate goal of re-opening. In the meantime, please feel free to send us updates about how your child is doing. I would love to know about any important milestones, or how much they are enjoying the activities we’ve shared. I am forever grateful that you chose the Sweet Pea Patch for your childcare needs and please bear with me as I try to navigate this situation that seems to change on a daily basis. If you have a child graduating from Preschool, Kindergarten or even High School and would like to celebrate them check out the Preschool/Kindergarten and Senior Class of 2020 fb pages. You can post your child’s picture and little bio about them. Someone will adopt them and send then something special to acknowledge their accomplishments!
