Boy do I ever wish I could get this show up and running again! I wrote, directed and produced this show in 2012, 2014 and 2015. It tells the truth the life story of the American Revolution in the pivotal year of 1777. British general John Burgoyne is marching south from Canada to try and take Albany, New York. He sends a diversionary force out west to the Mohawk Valley to capture Fort Stanwix. Drums Along the Mohawk outdoor drama depicts this diversionary action. Perhaps an interesting twist to Fourth of July postings. I often use this visual when I give historical walking tours in Philadelphia for @bow_tie_tours The top document is the Declaration of Independence. The bottom document is the United States Constitution. The men pictured are the first four presidents of the United States. The top two Presidents signed the Declaration but not the Constitution. They are on the left Thomas Jefferson and on the right John Adams. The bottom ...two Presidents signed the Constitution but not the Declaration. They are, on the left James Madison and on the right George Washington. Four question’s for you: 1. Who can name the first four Presidents in order starting with number one 2. Which of these four presidents served two consecutive terms and which of these Presidents served one term? 3. Flag day started with the 1777 Continental Congress when they adopted a resolution stating that the flag of the United States be 13 alternate stripes red and white and that the Union be 13 stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation. My favorite US flag is the 15 star flag. The following is Ref: USAToday... July 3, 2019 Years flown: 1795 ~ 1818 Who was president: George Washington (1789-1797), John Adams (1797-1801), Thomas Jefferson (1801-1809), James Madison (1809-1817), and James Monroe (1817-1825) Two stripes and two stars were added to the flag when Vermont and Kentucky became the 14th and 15th states in 1791 and 1792, respectively. The 15-star flag would last for 23 years and five presidents would serve under it.
