Dear patients, About an hour ago Governor Tom Wolf ordered all non-life sustaining businesses in PA to close their physical locations as of Thursday evening to slow the spread of CODIV-19. This order also includes our dental practice. In complying with the Governor’s order we are forced to reschedule all patient treatments until we are given permission to be open for treatment again. All appointments for the week of 3/22/2020 are cancelled effective immediately. If you have an appointment next week, someone from our office will get in touch with you to reschedule your appointment soon. We are sorry for the inconvenience this is causing, however we must ensure everybody’s safety and well-being in these trying times. Dear patients and community members, The health and safety of our patients and our staff is our highest priority. We are carefully monitoring the recent developments with the spread of Coronavirus (SARS CoV-2) and the health implications of COVID-19 on our community. By now we have all been affected by school closures, altered work schedules, cancelled trips or vacations, shortage of supplies at the stores, cancellation of all major sports and entertainment events, and last b...ut not least mandatory or self imposed quarantine. In healthcare, we have been following infection control guidelines for decades to eliminate the spread of microorganisms from one person to another. Since we have learned more about the virus and its mechanism of spread, we have implemented additional measures to ensure that our staff and patients remain safe at this time. We would like to reassure our patients and share what we are doing at our practice for everyone’s safety: We disinfect and sterilize surfaces and equipment after every patient following our infection control guidelines. We are removing all shared items from our waiting area to minimize contact of items that cannot be disinfected. We ask patients to re-schedule their appointments if they have flu-like symptoms (fever, cough, sore throat, muscle ache, runny nose), if they have been outside the country in the last 14 days or have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19. Only staff that is asymptomatic and have not been in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case is allowed to report to work. We will still greet you friendly without hand shakes. We encourage everyone to practice frequent hand hygiene. We will not hesitate to re-schedule our clinic if we are unable to provide the safest care to our patients.
