The companies and products that could not keep up with technology, simply perished - some good examples are Blockbuster videos, Circuit City, Old fashioned paper based medical records, fuel inefficient automobiles, many brick-and-mortar retailers etc. It is more and more important than ever to have children learn STEM to be competitive in this type of technology driven integrated global market. They should be equipped with these skills and education before stepping out of school to ensure a successful great future.
