Lettuce take a moment to appreciate this salad pun. Today was just the tip of the iceberg. Tomorrow romaines to be seen. (Veggie jokes!) Today our Food Pantry received this beautiful locally grown lettuce, kale, spinach and swiss chard from Lafayette College sustainability initiative, LaFarm. #onlyineaston

We want to say thanks and good luck to Harold Wisner, our Coordinator of School-Based Programs. Harold and his family are moving on to a new journey and warmer weather all year! Harold started with us in the Fall of 2019 as part of the Student Success Program and more recently ran ProJeCt’s SIZZLE! Program this past summer. Harold, thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the agency. You have touched so many lives in your short time here, you will be missed.

In case you missed it, our ECE class and parents held a Memorial Day parade led by Miss Jenny and Miss Wendy. The children waived their homemade flags proudly and marched through the circle. #onlyineaston #educationiskey #project

ProJeCt sends out a monthly Wish List to local organizations and faith communities of staple items for our Food Pantry. This is Carol. She stopped by to drop off the weekly donation of pancakes and syrup from the parishioners of Green Pond UnitedMethodist Church. Thanks for all you do. @greenpondumc #educationiskey #onlyineaston #helpingpeopletohelpthemselves #helpfillourshelves #foodpantry

Meet Jhoan. Jhoan arrived at ProJeCt of Easton during an Open House at our Fowler Literacy Center. Although he had been in the country only 7 months, his English skills were strong and he enrolled in our GED classes. He worked as a technical document translator and the work was becoming more difficult. Jhoan has an engineering degree in his home country, the Dominican Republic, and tested very well on placement exams. Jhoan attended classes regularly and obtained his GED... in January of 2020. Jhoan continued to work as a translator and intends to pursue a degree in business at a local community college. #educationiskey #onlyineaston #helpingpeopletohelpthemselves Please join us in congratulating Jhoan and help us to help students like him by making a donation to ProJeCt today. Meet James. James arrived at ProJeCt’s Fowler Literacy Center in August 2019 for an open house. He was highly motivated to get GED and eager to start classes. He was struggling with recurring health concerns which prevented him from working consistently. His personal challenges did not deter him from attending ProJeCt’s GED classes. James worked hard and completed his GED testing in November, applied to Northampton Community College, achieved Dean’s List in the first se...mester and is on track to achieve it again in his second semester. James aspires to be a Social Worker and to help others grow through his personal experiences. Join us in congratulating James and ProJeCt’s Class of 2020.
