Dr. Joel Perloff is the Chairman of the Board of Managers and the Campus Chief of Credentials at Riddle Memorial Hospital. What is your favorite part of the Providence ENT community? I like that our doctors and staff work as a team in service to the community. Everyone is focuses on providing the best possible care to our ENT patients.... What do you love most about living in the area? Though I grew up and trained in Philadelphia, Delaware County definitely feels like home. My family and I love the quick drive to Citizens Bank Park, and the great restaurants both in the city and in our community. What inspired you to become a physician? My father was a surgeon, and I was able to watch a kidney transplant when I was in 6th grade. I always wanted to follow in his footsteps, and ENT sparked my interest Everyday I have the opportunity to solve complex problems AND make someone’s life better. I feel lucky to have found my passion. Any other fun facts you would like! I love to swim, SCUBA dive, travel with my family, play poker, and watch the Phillies (at least I did a few years ago).

Dr. William S. Gartner, MD, board certified in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery with Providence ENT, has announced that he has retired, culminating 45 years in practice. He provided dedicated and compassionate healthcare to the community that he served which is evident by both his loyal patients and acknowledgments by his peers. A graduate of Temple Medical School, Dr. Gartner completed an internship with William Beaumont General Hospital, El Paso, Texas and residency at... Hahnemann Hospital and Hospital of University of Pa. Dr. Gartner joined Dr. Paul W. Jackson at Providence ENT in 1970 and recalls that the office was open four nights a week then seeing patients until 11 and 12 at night with spouses of the staff calling to see when they would be home. His vision and example contributed to the success and growth of Providence ENT, which just celebrated its 50th year anniversary. Dr. Gartner would like to express his gratitude to the patients that entrusted their care to him over the years and to his partners, staff colleagues, hospital administration and staff who have contributed in making his medical career such a memorable experience. Personalized, individual and continued care is what has been his cornerstone and he is pleased to know that his patients will experience the same care from his skilled and accomplished partners. In his next chapter, Dr Gartner is looking forward to traveling and spending time with his children and grandchildren. See more
